Watercolour, ink, gouache on Arches paper.
This was a companion to ‘Angel’ and was also produced for an exhibition in Northwood, North London, which required the artists to choose a psalm as the theme for a painting.
I chose Psalm 91. In particular the verse: “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler”.
There was much wetting and sandpapering of the Arches paper to create the desired textures.
