Acrylic, stained glass paint, enamel paint, silicone sealer, hair on canvas.
A follow up to the ‘Donkey’ painting.
It seemed important that the donkey was done in profile but the extremities couldn’t quite fit to the edges of the canvas, as this is a companion to the larger donkey and intended to be to the same scale.
I looked at a combination of images to help get the basic proportions right, from sources including the internet and a children’s book of the story of Jesus.
The focus was on the donkey, with little indication of background, which – if anything – is a beach.
