Watercolour on Arches paper.

Although there are flaws with this painting, I feel it is a success as it was 'dashed off' without being too laboured and managed to capture something of Mark's character at the time.

I used (and still do to this day, when I use watercolours), the colour pallette recommended by David Curtis R.O.I. R.S.M.A., a masterful modern day exponent of watercolours whose books, borrowed from Harrow Libraries, also introduced me to Arches paper.
