Watercolour on Arches paper.
A rather confused painting, this one. An attempt at an expressive watercolour with a controlled technique.
I started out intending to portray the moon with an arrangement of observational paintings of leaves.
The clown arrived at around the same time as I got bored with painting the leaves. Fortunately, the combination of Arches paper and the colour pallette recommended by David Curtis R.O.I. R.S.M.A almost don't need a subject.
